Overview

This document explains how to get the best out of the Microsoft Remote Desktop Client.

Introduction

Layer3 use the Microsoft Remote Desktop Client to connect to Cloud Office. To ensure you have the best experience possible, ensure you have the follow settings set.

Guide

You should have an icon on your desktop that looks like the following

Windows 7/8

  1. Right-click on this file and select Edit
  2. Under the experience tab, tick the following:
    1. Connection Speed: Satellite (2mbps – 16mbps)
    2. Font Smoothing
    3. Desktop Composition
    4. Visual Styles
    5. Persistent Bitmap Caching

  3. Under the Local Resources Tab, select the following:
    1. Local Devices and Resources, Printers and Clipboard

  4. Click on General and then click Save

 

Windows XP

  1. Right click on this file and select Edit
  2. Under the experience tab, tick the following:
